Simon is an originator of innovative, high profile energy investments and transactions in Europe and the Americas. Simon’s expertise lies in power generation, transmission and distribution networks in gas and power, regulated assets and complex structured investments. He has over 20 years of experience within Private Equity and Infrastructure, identifying value creative opportunities with broad experience across the energy sub sectors with investments of €50m €5bn.

Simon recently served as Project Director to Greenlink Interconnector and as Vice Chairman at ElecLink, a project he originated while he was a partner at STAR Capital Partners, a London based private equity fund. Prior to STAR Capital he was head of energy origination in the European investment banking division of Lehman Brothers. He has broad experience in originating investment opportunities, M&A, debt and equity financing for energy companies and private equity funds and running development companies. Simon holds a degree in engineering from the University of Surrey and is a chartered accountant.
