Wales: Application for a marine licence for the MaresConnect Interconnector seabed survey

MaresConnect Limited has applied to Natural Resources Wales (NRW) for a licence to undertake marine surveys to inform the design and routeing of the marine cable component of the potential Interconnector.

The aim of the surveys is to identify environmental and technical constraints to be incorporated into a final marine licence application.

The results of surveys and details of the constraints will be clearly set out in any future planning application and MaresConnect will be holding public consultations during Q4 2023 to discuss the potential development in detail.

 

MARINE AND COASTAL ACCESS ACT 2009 PART 4: MARINE LICENSING APPLICATION FOR A MARINE LICENCE FOR THE MARESCONNECT INTERCONNECTOR SEABED SURVEY

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Part 4, Chapter 1, Section 68 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009 that MaresConnect Ltd has applied to Natural Resources Wales, acting on behalf of the Licensing Authority, for a marine licence for the MaresConnect Interconnector Seabed Survey.
